China's furniture exports up 2.9% in July

The latest data released by the General Administration of Customs on August 7 shows that from January to July, the export value of Chinese furniture and its parts was 265.97 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%. From January to June, the export value of Chinese furniture and its parts was 226.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.2%. Furniture exports achieved positive growth for two consecutive months.
In a single month in July, the export value of Chinese furniture and its parts was 39.90 billion yuan, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year.
In terms of other home building materials, from January to July, the export value of ceramic products was 113.62 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%; the export value of lamps, lighting devices and their parts was 168.51 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%.
Judging from a single month in July, the export value of ceramic products was 20 billion yuan; the export value of lamps, lighting devices and their parts was 29.06 billion yuan.
Overall, in the first seven months, China's total import and export value was 23.6 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. In July, my country's total import and export value was 3.81 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%. Among them, the export was 2.25 trillion yuan, an increase of 23.9%; the import was 1.56 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.4%; the trade surplus was 682.69 billion yuan, an increase of 90.9%. The year-on-year growth rate of the number of foreign trade enterprises with import and export performance in July also accelerated.
In terms of international trade relations, China's imports and exports to major trading partners such as ASEAN, the European Union, the United States and South Korea have grown. In the first seven months, ASEAN was the largest trading partner. The total trade value between China and ASEAN was 3.53 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.2%, accounting for 15% of China's total foreign trade value. The EU is the second largest trading partner. The total trade value between China and the EU is 3.23 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.9%, accounting for 13.7%. The United States is the third largest trading partner, and the total trade value between China and the United States is 2.93 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.8%, accounting for 12.4%. South Korea is the fourth largest trading partner, and the total trade value between China and South Korea is 1.39 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.9%, accounting for 5.9%.
During the same period, China's imports and exports to countries along the "Belt and Road" totaled 7.55 trillion yuan, an increase of 19.8%.
It is worth mentioning that in July, the import and export between China and its "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership" (RCEP) trading partners increased by 18.8% year-on-year, driving the overall import and export growth by 5.6 percentage points. RCEP has provided regional economic recovery and development. New kinetic energy. RCEP came into effect on January 1 this year and is the world's largest free trade area. Li Kuiwen, director of the Statistics and Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs, said that RCEP has further deepened regional economic connectivity and trade and investment cooperation, providing new momentum for regional economic recovery and development. Bai Ming, deputy director of the International Market Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, said that the positive effect of RCEP on China's import and export was highlighted in July.
Bai Ming also said that due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the global industrial chain and supply chain are still unstable, and China has obvious advantages. Production and life in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions have been operating stably, providing a favorable foundation for the growth of imports and exports. From the perspective of domestic regions, in the first seven months of this year, the total import and export of the three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta region was 8.58 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.7% year-on-year, and 2.5 percentage points faster than the growth rate in the first half of the year.

From the perspective of the general environment, Li Kuiwen, director of the Statistics and Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs, said that this year, the country has introduced a package of policy measures to stabilize the economy to support enterprises in helping them solve their difficulties. The Customs has also specially studied and introduced specific measures to help enterprises to bail out and reduce costs, and effectively solve problems for enterprises. With the implementation of these measures, the vitality of foreign trade market players has been effectively stimulated. In July, my country's imports and exports increased by 16.6% year-on-year, continuing the trend of continuous recovery in foreign trade growth since May, making positive contributions to stabilizing the macroeconomic market.
